On the palate one perceives freshly hulled hazelnuts in this distillate, with a light note of nougat and cocoa butter. Its incomparable flavour of fine nougat spices and white chocolate make this schnapps a sipping experience of a rare sort. The hazelnuts are chopped – without the shells – and briefly roasted. after which they are macerated in purest grain spirit. Next they are gently distilled in the kettle. The distillate enjoys a resting period of about a year, and is then rectified with our urrgestein spring water to the strength of 40% alcohol.
